About Pat Hentosh and Photosbyph
I am a retired professor and cancer researcher; I started out shooting black and white photos (film) in my 20’s and spent a lot of time in darkrooms developing my own prints. I seriously began color photography (digital) ten years ago. Originally from a steel town in Ohio, I have traveled extensively and lived in many parts of the U.S. I am now a resident of both Twin Lakes, CO and Kitty Hawk, NC. I love both areas with their amazing light, shadows, sky and scenery. Photographically, I focus on outdoor scenes, mountain /coastal landscapes and impressionist abstracts.
My photographic education was provided by online seminars, participation in photography clubs and workshops and my brother Bill’s one-on-one guidance and advice. And I thank my husband Dennis Peffley for encouraging my hobby and protecting me from bears and snakes during nighttime photo shoots.
My work has been on display at the Shooting Star Gallery in Twin Lakes and at local galleries in Kitty Hawk. Photos shown here and others are available for purchase by contacting me: hentoshp@hotmail.com or by phone: 816 695-3070.
